A
Replica Built to the released Specifications Allows Riders
to Train for Gold
The
American Bicycle Association (ABA) The Sanctioning
Body for BMX© has just completed a replica
of the 2008 Olympic BMX (Bicycle Moto-Cross) track in
Salt Lake City, Utah. The track will allow World Class
riders and teams to train for the upcoming 2008 Olympics
in China, where the sport of BMX will make its debut.
The
new training track is located at Rad Canyon BMX,
a state-of-the art facility in Salt Lake City, Utah that
currently hosts weekly racing. This facility will host
the new Olympic practice track side-by-side with its current
BMX track. With acres of paved parking, the Great
Salt Lake Nationals", a Pro Spectacular and the Utah
State Championships this summer, the Rad Canyon
BMX facility is the place for BMX action!
The
ABA is making every effort to ensure that the BMX riders
representing the United States have the most accurate
replicas of the Olympic track in which they can train.
We are hoping for Gold from our riders who qualify for
the 2008 Olympics and we are also looking to promote the
sport of BMX to its fullest., stated Clayton
John, President, ABA. The track will be fully utilized
by athletes and by the ABA, as it hosts a Pro Spectacular
on the track Saturday, June 30th, 2007 as part of the
ABA Great Salt Lake National event.
The
new Olympic level track adds a great deal to the facility
and is expected to draw hopefuls from around the world
who want to ride the replica track. Join the fun at Rad
Canyon BMX, spectators are free and families can
experience the sport of BMX together!
