Launches the Bring-A-Buddy Recruiting Program to Help Boost
the Grassroots of
BMX
More
than $50,000 in prizes to be awarded
Imagine
if every NBL member recruited just one new rider this
year. Local programs would get a huge boost and thousands
of new riders would be hitting the track, raising the
level of competition across the nation. The 2007 NBL Bring-A-Buddy
Program has been designed to do just that and more
than $50,000 in prizing will keep recruiters and NBL
tracks working hard to recruit new buddies
throughout the spring and summer. The programs primary
challenge is to motivate current NBL members to recruit
their friends (buddies) by offering incentives to anyone
who recruits, at the very least, one new rider. By promoting
the sport outside of the immediate community and into
the schools and playgrounds across America, NBL members
are promoting BMX to a brand new audience.
The
program is simple and offers a wide range of incentives
for members, buddies, and tracks. In the April and May
issues of BMX Today magazine, members receive a cool sheet
of Buddy cards and are encouraged to distribute
them to anyone who might be interested in trying BMX for
the first time. When any of their Buddies
redeems a card at a local NBL Track, both the recruiter
and buddy win a free limited edition NBL sticker kit or
NBL trading card. After receiving their first prize the
awards get more exciting and valuable.
NBL
is serving up more than $50,000 in prizes and successful
recruiters can earn a chance to win several major prizes
including The NBL Ultimate BMX Bedroom, free
passes to Camp Woodward and tons of new complete bicycles
from Intense BMX, MCS and GT. The Grand Prize of the NBL
Ultimate BMX Bedroom will include graphics, decorations,
electronics, a new bike and tons of great sponsor products.
NBL will be promoting the sport directly through the experts
NBL riders and tracks, and in turn, rewarding them
for their efforts.
NBL
tracks will benefit directly from the program and the
top performing tracks will also win valuable prize packages
including free bikes, helmets and other sponsor products.
The Bring-A-Buddy program is easy to run and many
of our tracks have already embraced it. They are promoting
the benefits directly to their members and in turn get
a much-needed boost on the grassroots level, says
Jason Schiefelbein, NBL Field Director. Tracks and members
can view monthly prizing, recruiting statistics, and other
exciting news through the dedicated Bring-A-Buddy webpage
on the NBL website.
The
program provides our sponsors with a vital link to the
grassroots level and connects their brand directly to
the end consumer, added Kevin OBrien, NBL
Marketing Director. Its a great compliment
to a successful marketing campaign for our sponsors and
partners. The 2007 Bring-A-Buddy program is proudly
sponsored by Intense BMX, MCS Bicycles, GT Bicycles, Camp
Woodward, Sinz Racing Products, and Vigor Helmets in association
with BMXWORLD, BMX Plus! and BMX Today magazines.
The
NBL is working hard to build a network of programs that
will help capture the interest generated by the sports
first appearance at the 2008 Olympic Games and ultimately
turn that excitement into more competition. For more information
about the program contact your local track and get started
today. Visit the NBL website at www.nbl.org
